ABOUT US

As you might have already guessed, our podcast focuses on the “costs” of policy decisions. We don’t just mean the explicit costs, i.e. hiring staff, paying rent, contracting services. We also mean the missed opportunities, less quantifiable costs, unintended consequences, and spillovers into other areas. We call all of these the “price” of policy.  We’re interested in not only the consequences of choosing to act, but also not to act.

Our interview driven podcast features community activists, professors, non-profit directors, all experts in their policy fields, to shed light on policies that are being, or could be implemented in Los Angeles. We also highlight policy making institutions and social movements that push policy makers to reimagine Los Angeles’s policy landscape.

Mission

  1. Share  the access to experts that we have as USC students with the greater LA population on policy topics relevant to LA’s communities.

  2. Provide data driven policy analysis, opportunities for involvement, and relevant resources.

  3. Elevate policy issues experienced by marginalized and oppressed populations.
